Message of the President

Cypres Handicapped Association is a non Profit making Association, which took birth in 1993 and was officially registered in July 1998. Its main objective is to enhance the status of disabled and needy persons and make them autonomous people.

We are presently accommodated in a small space in the residential building of one of CHA’s members and use a private car as our only means of transport facilities. We are actively searching new ways and means to alleviate our situation and try to supply any aid, which we believe will make life easier and more comfortable for the disabled people.

Our Vision

• Bringing together the disabled adults within a formal structure, which would provide a sense of direction to them and spur them towards their goal, which is achieving social and economic empowerment.
• Providing opportunities for integration and legal recognition into the community in a dignified, respectful manner, and creating an environment where activities and support are based on the dreams, interests, ideas, hopes and capabilities of the disabled.

Our Mission

• Show that every disabled person is first and foremost a human being.
• Plan programs to inform its members and the disabled persons at large about their rights, run workshops for healthcare and give them appropriate guidance for their individual needs.
• Empower its members by providing them social, educational, and economic services and a strong foundation for an independent and self-satisfaction.
• Develop mutual support and sharing, propose recreational activities, boost entrepreneurial capabilities and explore manipulative skills to encourage its members to become functional members of society.
